Kinga Jadwiga Szemik is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Women's Super League club West Ham United and the Poland national team.
As a Polish woman, she was not afraid to speak out against the Polish government's abortion policy and support the Strajk kobiet movement fighting for safe and accessible abortions.
She studied in the USA at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros, where she played for their team for four seasons.
She has a degree in psychology.
She is not a fan of big cities and prefers to live near nature.
She has ten siblings - four sisters and sic brothers. Her brothers inspired her to start playing football.
Before football, Kinga used to be in an archery team, played volleyball and was in a chess club.
