Carla Morich is a German professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Frauen-Bundesliga club Hamburger SV.
She spent sever years playing college football in the USA (Old Dominion University, Norfolk).
She left Old Dominion University because she missed her family in Hamburg too much — but later made a return to the team.
After going home to Germany, she worked for a logistics company in Hamburg — but soon realized she missed football too much.
She suffered a serious injury in 2023: a fracture of the fibula, broken ankle, plus a torn syndesmosis band and torn inner ankle ligament. This kept her out for 564 days.
She joined the HSV Football School at just five years old — she’s been a fan of the club ever since!
Besides football, she also works as a marketing student and HSV employee, combining her studies, job, and sport perfectly.
She was a member of the Germany U15 and U17 youth teams.
She has a Sports Management degree.
She loves going out for coffee with friends on her days off.
