Sophie Hillebrand is an Austrian footballer who plays as a forward for Frauen-Bundesliga club Hamburger SV and the Austria national team.
She was voted second-best player of the 2024/25 Austrian Bundesliga season, right behind Verena Volkmer.
She scored the first Bundesliga goal for HSV in their comeback match in the top flight.
Despite suffering a serious knee injury that sidelined her for over a year, she made a strong return in November 2023 and later featured in the Champions League.
With SKN St. Pölten, she won three league titles and three Austrian Cups in a row.
She started playing football thanks to her father and brother, who both played and encouraged her to join in the garden kickabouts.
For her, the perfect football weather is an evening match under floodlights with a bit of rain.
Her ultimate cheat meal is pizza.
She loves coming back home to the mountains in Bad Ischl, Austria.
