Hamburger SV Women’s football team was founded in 1970 as part of Hamburger Sport-Verein. From the 2025/26 season, they compete in the Frauen-Bundesliga, Germany’s top division in women’s football, securing promotion after 13 years.
Célia Liése Brancão Ribeiro is a Brazilian coach and former football player. She was appointed head coach of Hamburger SV Women in July 2025, after previously coaching SKN St. Pölten, where she won multiple domestic titles and led the team to the UEFA Women’s Champions League group stage.
