Riley Tiernan is an American professional soccer player who plays as a forward for Angel City FC of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL).
She holds the all-time assist record at Rutgers with 34 career assists.
She was named NWSL Rookie of the Month in April 2025 after scoring 6 goals in her first 10 professional games.
Her older sister Madison Tiernan, a former Rutgers player, became an assistant coach during Riley's sophomore year.
She was among the first Rutgers athletes to sign a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deal, partnering with Adidas.
She joined Angel City FC as a training camp invitee after going undrafted in the first NWSL free agency.
She takes great pride in her New Jersey roots, crediting her "Jersey grit" for her relentless work ethic.
