Ricarda Walkling is a German footballer who plays as a midfielder for Frauen-Bundesliga club Werder Bremen.
She studied and played at North Carolina State University.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Tourism Management and a Master’s in Sustainability Management.
She started playing football in 2002 at just 5 years old.
She played all five matches at the 2013 UEFA Women’s U17 Championship, which Germany won — including scoring in both the group stage and semifinal.
She has worked as Coordinator for Girls’ and Women’s Empowerment at SV Werder Bremen. She helps create safe spaces and sports programs for girls, particularly in structurally weak, underserved areas.
