Sinem Özdemir is a German-born footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Frauen-Bundesliga club Werder Bremen. She represents Turkey internationally.
Sinem joined Werder Bremen’s youth setup in July 2022.
At just 15 years old, she was invited to a DFB D‑Youth goalkeeper selection camp, marking her as one of Germany’s most promising young keepers .
Also at 15, she was called up separately by both Germany and Turkey to youth goalkeeper camps.
She began playing football at just 4 years old. Her parents were coaches at a local club, and she grew up on the football field.
She has always played in boys' teams, training with older boys even when she first started.
Though she didn’t start as a goalkeeper, she was given the position at age 10 and has trained in that role ever since.
Her favorite goalkeeper is Merle Frohms.
Her biggest idol is Alex Popp.
Her favorite coach is Jürgen Klopp.
