Verena Lisa Wieder is a German footballer who plays as a forward for Frauen-Bundesliga club Werder Bremen. She was youth international for Germany on several selection levels.
She began her football journey playing in the youth teams of FC Kempten and FC Memmingen before moving to Bayern Munich’s U17 squad.
Throughout her career, she has struggled with multiple anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries.
She won the German B-Junior Championship with Bayern Munich U17 in 2017.
She was part of the Germany U19 team that won the UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship in 2016 and 2017.
She was a finalist in the 2024/25 DFB-Pokal with her team.
If she hadn’t become a footballer, she probably would have worked somewhere in the sports field, maybe as a sports teacher.
She is a Schalke fan in her private life.
She likes winter sports like skiing or snowboarding.
