Reena Wichmann is a German footballer who plays as a midfielder for Frauen-Bundesliga club Werder Bremen.
Her grandfather was a lifelong Werder fan—she watched her first match at Weserstadion as a child, forming lifelong loyalty to the club.
She is Werder’s longest-serving player since 2013.
In 2017, she spent a semester playing college football for Elon University Phoenix in North Carolina, USA.
She reached the DFB-Pokal Final in the 2024/25 season with Werder Bremen.
She suffered two knee injuries - an ACL and MCL tear.
Before joining Werder, she played in an all-boys team at VfL 07 – something she really enjoyed and was initially reluctant to leave.
She has been to Bali multiple times.
